Distance Learning is a special kind of teaching-learning program much different than what most are used to finding in the classroom. Careful planning goes into satisfying the needs of students who are not face to face with an instructor and finding ways of engaging them in the learning process. The resulting teaching-learning activities are matched up with the best available technologies so it works well for the learner. The current modes available at Olympic College include Telecourses, Interactive Television, and Online instruction.
Students are encouraged to consult with an advisor and self assess their ability to study independently and learn in non-traditional formats.
